    We have all enjoyed celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee today.

    This morning the whole school met on the playground which was decorated with bunting and banners. The children were told about the importance of the Jubilee and we enjoyed listening to the King’s School Brass Band performing the National Anthem.

  2. Year 6 Enjoy a Day Out!

    Friday 27 May

    Children from year 6 enjoyed a day at Bewl Water on Wednesday (25th May) this week. This was a special trip to mark the end of primary school and their time at St John’s.

    They set off early from school to make the journey and sang most of the way there! There was a lot of excitement on the coach!

  3. New Play Equipment

    Friday 27 May

    Children from our Reception Classes are continuing to enjoy the new play equipment.

    This week the trim trail was installed and children have had fun playing on this and using the numbered logs for numeral recognition and counting.

  4. EYFS Children Celebrate the Jubilee

    Friday 27 May

    Children in our Reception Classes and Nursery have been thinking about the Platinum Jubilee this week.

    Children in Reception made cornflake crowns to enjoy during the celebrations. They decorated these with repeated patterns and will be writing to the Queen to invite her to join us to enjoy our cakes.

  5. Sports Award

    We are delighted to be able to inform parents that St John’s has been awarded with the Bronze School Games Mark for 2021-22.

  6. Girls Football

    Friday 27 May

    We have been contacted by Rising Stars Youth FC to inform us about their Wildcats Football sessions.

    These are sessions aimed at girls aged between 5 and 11, and will be running every Saturday morning from 11.30am to 12.30pm at St Edmund’s School in Canterbury.

    Friday 27 May

    The school photographer will be visiting us on Thursday 9th June to take the class photos.

    This year parents and carers are being given the opportunity to pre-register to view the class image and to buy copies.
