On Wednesday this week (29th June) we celebrated those children who have managed to achieve 100% attendance at school since September.
There are 15 children at St John’s who have not missed a single day of school since this academic year began on 3rd September 2021. An amazing achievement that needed rewarding!
So, this group of children had an exciting morning out at Wagamamas Restaurant in Canterbury. They made fruit juices, tasted different spices and flavours and measured out ingredients to make meals.
They all had a great time; trying new foods and mixing together some very interesting and delicious juices. Alex discovered a new passion for seaweed and James persevered in learning to eat with chopsticks!
The children then returned to school with a freshly cooked meal of chicken and noodles and a goody bag given to them as they left the restaurant.
They all enjoyed trying the food and trying on the aprons that they had been given! It was an interesting morning of exploring new tastes and flavours and we seem to have some budding chefs amongst the group!
Could your child be enjoying a treat like this next year?
