Year 2 enjoyed a walk around Canterbury on Monday (11th October) as part of their English work for this term. The children have been looking at postcards, and will be writing postcards about the day out that they experienced.
The children walked all around the city and looked at the famous sights, including a close up view of the cathedral.
They walked for over an hour; clocking up an impressive 8000 steps each!
The trip ended with a well earned rest and picnic in the Westgate Gardens.
The children all thoroughly enjoyed themselves and we look forward to seeing some great postcards about their day out!
We would like to say a big thank you to all those parents who volunteered their time on Monday to join us for this trip.
