  2. Bikeability

    Friday 26 May

    Our year 6 pupils have been enjoying taking part in Bikeability training this week.

    They have been using controlled cycling to manoeuvre around obstacles on the playground as well as learning how to maintain their bike, cycle in a smooth manner, pedal without being wobbly or out of control and to be aware of their surroundings.

  3. Year 2 Trip

    Friday 26 May

    Children from year 2 enjoyed a photography trip around Canterbury City centre yesterday morning. They went to the cathedral, the Marlowe Theatre, and Westgate Towers.

    They took photographs of the historic buildings and the plants and wildlife that they saw. "It was fun and exciting!" said Reggie, whilst Isabella said her favourite place was the Cathedral gate.

    We have been made aware of some ongoing issues around parking in the vicinity of school at drop off and pick up times.

    Please may we remind parents to park considerately and to avoid restricted parking areas, including double yellow lines and residents’ car parks.

  6. Drumming Workshop

    Friday 19 May

    We started this week with a very exciting day as we welcomed Kevin into school on Monday to lead drumming workshops for all the children and the staff!

    He spent time with each class teaching children how to correctly get notes out of the drum and showing them how to play patterns and rhythms on them.

  7. Recorder Club in Concert

    Friday 19 May

    Our recorder club has been chosen to perform at a special Coronation Concert on Monday 22nd May!   The nine pupils from year 3 have been practising during their lunchtime and at home to play Circle of Life and Zadok the Priest on recorder.   They will perform at Simon Langton Boys' School with other local schools accompanied by a live orchestra.
