St John’s Church of England Primary School opened in September 2012, and includes a thriving nursery.
Our school mission statement:
Challenging Ourselves and Supporting Others to Succeed and Flourish.
As a Church school our mission is supported by knowing that God is with us and gives us hope for the future.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.” - Jeremiah 29:11
St John’s Church of England Primary School is a community where all are welcome. We listen and take time to understand the past, work consistently with individuals and ensure we provide skills both academically and socially to access the future.
At St John’s, we (children and staff) have recently re-evaluated our school values. On reflection, we decided that we wanted our values to reflect us as people and as learners. In light of this we have chosen 10 school values; 5 Living Values and 5 Learning Values. By developing in these areas we believe we will become the best learners and the best versions of ourselves that we can be. Here are the ones we chose:
Our 5 Living Values:
Love
Trust
Honesty
Peace
Respect
Our 5 Learning Values:
Perseverance
Team Player
Creativity
Ambition
Curiosity
St John’s is a family school where every child feels happy, safe and ready to learn each day and these values truly reflect who we are as a family.
