PE is a core part of the curriculum here at St John's. We engage and are active in a wide variety of intra-school competitions, and have been awarded a School Games Award, given in recognition of our "ongoing commitment and achievement in the School Games Programme". We always challenge ourselves to try our best and work well as a team. We are supported by Football Futures, who deliver exciting lunchtime sports clubs, such as dodgeball, hockey, football and tennis.

Our learning is focused around four key areas:

• MOVER - developing fundamental movement skills
• PLANNER - applying and sequencing those movements
• COMPETITOR - working as part of a team, and competing against others
• EVALUATOR - discussing and improving our own performances

In everything we do, we aim to show our school values.

In 2023, we were awarded Bronze in the School Games Mark Award Scheme. Our aim is now for gold!
