We welcomed the Kent Road Safety Team into school yesterday. They worked with children from Reception, year 1 and year 5, teaching all the children about how to stay safe on our roads.
The children from year 1 reported that they had all had an enjoyable morning whilst learning the key road safety tips of ‘stop’, ‘look’, ‘listen’, ‘think’ and ‘hold hands’.
They also took part in an activity to identify people who can help you cross the road and talked about the different vehicles that you see on the road.
They were all happy to meet Kip the Bear too who helped them with learning their road safety skills and gave them all a booklet to take home to help them remember what they had learnt!
They all had a lovely time and learnt some valuable life skills.
