Hailing originally from Essex, I studied History at Canterbury Christ Church University. I then spent several years working in part- and full-time roles first at Diocesan and Payne Smith Primary, then St. John’s, before completing my PGCE (Teacher Training)in 2017. My main educational passions are history and children’s literature, so do come and ask for book recommendations if you would like. Nothing makes me happier in the classroom than when one of the children is reading a new children’s book that I've recommended, or even one that is still sitting in my ‘to-read’ pile!
Outside of school you will most likely find me nose deep in a good book, trying to get my head around a new board-game or, when time allows, keeping alive my dreams of being a rock-star by practising my guitar-playing, something I try to get into the classroom whenever I have the opportunity.
I am very excited to be teaching here in Year 5, with all its joys and challenges.
